Earlier this summer, I had the opportunity to interview Katharine Zaleski for a story on The Penny Hoarder. Katharine, who co-founded a company that helps connect talented women in technology with jobs that they can do 100% remotely, is smart, driven, and impressively down to earth.
To really enjoyed my call with Katharine. We talked about remote work, salary negotiations, and the nature of being a career-ambitious woman who loves — and wants what’s best for — her family. It was a fun and inspiring conversation, and I’m so glad that Katharine was willing to take time out to talk with me.
Katharine is around my age with a daughter about the same age as Small Shaw. She’s ambitious and successful, and she calls my old digs, Brooklyn, New York, her home. She was one of the first six employees at The Huffington Post, and her career has only gotten more interesting (to me, at least) since then.
